At 5pm on Saturday, it will be clear which team will be relegated and which will be headed to the playoffs against teams competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. The DStv Premiership teams are all gearing up for their last league match. There is still much to play for even though the season is coming to an end.

Three teams are vying for survival, while three others are competing for a spot in the Top 8. Chippa United, known for sacking coaches, has been avoiding relegation for years. Question: Will it survive this time?

This will become evident when they play Golden Arrows in the DStv Premiership game on Saturday at 3pm at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Chippa needs three points to avoid relegation, as they did last season. Or it should pray for Marumo Gallants, who is at the bottom of the log, to lose.

Lehlohonolo Seema faces a difficult assignment in rescuing Chippa United, which was struggling before his arrival. They will compete against Bafana Bes’thende, who are attempting to secure a spot in the Top 8.

This game will undoubtedly be very challenging, but Chippa can prevail if they remain persistent. Vusumuzi Vilakazi, the coach of Golden Arrows, has made it clear that his squad needs to triumph on Saturday.

“We are still competing for something. We are now tied with two other teams for eighth place in the DStv Premiership, thus there is no assurance. We have to win the last game to maintain our current position,” Vilakazi stated.

Despite Golden Arrows’ struggles this season, Vilakazi and Mabhuti Khenyeza were able to fight and are now vying for a spot in the Top 8.

Etiosa Ighodaro, Aviwe Mqokozo, and Trevor Mathiane are among the players who are anticipated to help Chippa in their battle to remain in the DStv Premiership in the decisive match. All games will begin at 3pm on Saturday.
