Facebook rapist sentenced to three life sentences!

Serial rapist, Khululekani Justin Ngqeza (36) who is sentenced to three life sentences.

The Makhanda High Court sentenced Khululekani Justin Ngqeza, 36, of Makhanda, who used Facebook to lure girls between the ages of 15 and 21 by promising them modelling prospects, to three terms of life in prison on Monday this week.

These ten girls who were Ngqeza’s victims met him in bed and breakfast establishments or in remote forests, where they were paid for modelling photos before being raped by him later. These sexual terrors by Ngqeza occurred from 2019 to 2020.

The report continues by stating that he was apprehended on his way to Mthatha in May 2020, after having raped his most recent victim in Queenstown. The victim had run straight to the police to report the incident. On May 19, 2020, he was arrested in Nciba when police blocked the road and took him into custody.

Six of Ngqeza’s victims came forward and filed a complaint after his arrest, according to Colonel Priscilla Naidu; three of the six victims are from Woodstock and Sea Point in Cape Town, Western Cape.

Ngqeza was not granted bail and remained in custody until his case concluded. He was found guilty of all the charges against him, including kidnapping and rape, on February 6, 2023.

His victims were from in Humewood, Gqeberha, East London, Queenstown, Woodstock, and Sea Point. He was given three life sentences and 280 years to serve concurrently for the many crimes he had been found guilty of over the years.

Lieutenant General Nomtheli Mene, the commissioner for the Eastern Cape, accepted this judgment. Mene praised those looking into the case and ensuring that Ngqeza will never be allowed to integrate into society. She added that the victims of Ngqeza can take comfort from this verdict. Mene says that abuse against women is on the rise since it is often committed by people who they trust.
