Songo Mbali Ndinga, a nine-year-old from Mthatha, has competed in three pageants this year and is already starting to establish a name for herself.
Songo has entered the Miss Global Princess SA 2023 competition. The pageant will take place this year from April 27 to May 1.
Songo says that Miss SA 2020 Zozibini Tunzi is the person in the pageant industry who inspires her, and she dreams of being Miss SA in the future.
She says that her main motivation for applying is to encourage other young people her age to pursue their dreams. She also asserts that you don’t have to wait till you are older to start pursuing your dreams.
Songo first competed in the Miss Mthatha pageant for girls under 13 and finished in second place.
She competed in Miss International Junior South Africa again in 2022, this time with 34 other girls, and she placed among the top 10.
This young girl is under the management of Bright Stars Model Academy. She attends modelling classes on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm.
Songo’s mother, Ayanda Ndinga, who always supports her daughter, says that she is and always will be proud of her child. She says that they make sure the child’s homework is not disrupted.
