Police in the Eastern Cape are searching for three unidentified suspects who shot and killed three women, aged 30 to 37, who worked at the Flagstaff Post Office when it was robbed.
The three victims were reportedly shot on Monday of last week in Flagstaff’s Jaca village by suspects who were driving a red vehicle, according to a report from Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli.
The three women died at the scene.
Since the red vehicle the suspects were driving is still unknown and they have not been apprehended, Nkohli calls on the people to assist the authorities. The investigation into a murder case is still ongoing.
Even on Tuesday after this occurrence, it is reported that three men entered the Flagstaff Post Office early in the morning, pointed guns at the employees, and then stole both their phones and an undetermined sum of money.
A special committee to look into this issue was put together last week by Lieutenant General Nomthetheli Mene, the Eastern Cape’s commissioner of police. Mene encouraged residents to assist the police in their investigation and to come forward with any information they may have.
Anyone with information is asked to reach out to the detective who is investigating these two cases (murder and robbery) at 082 301 7762 or 086 00 10111.
