Mammila believes Chippa gave away the game to Sundowns

The coach of Chippa United, Morgan Mammila, claims that Mamelodi Sundowns won because his team gave away goals that Sundowns did not work for. Mammila made this statement after Chippa United were defeated by Sundowns by a score of two goals to one earlier this week at Loftus Stadium.

Thabiso Lebitso’s goal did not help Chippa, who were trailing Sundowns, who took the lead with goals from Tebogo Mokoena and Peter Shalulile, who had not played in a long time due to injury.

Mammila has been the talk of the town in recent days after telling the media that it is not difficult to play against Sundowns, who are annihilating their competition.

Chippa United performed admirably because Sundowns were unable to play in their usual manner. “My boys came here to do one thing: play football. I am not sure about anything else. We played well, but my players gave up goals for which Sundowns did not work hard,” said Mammila who will take on Cape Town City in Gqeberha on Saturday.

Chippa dominated in the second half of the game. They attacked from all sides, forcing Sundowns to play defensively. “We were supposed to get a goal – but I don’t want to complain about the referees because tomorrow I might be the one who benefits from their mistakes,” said Mammila, who, despite being new to coaching, resurrected Chippa.

Rulani Mokwena, on the other hand, accepted his team’s three points despite his dissatisfaction with how they performed on the field. However, they made history by winning ten consecutive games under Mokwena, who took over for the demoted Manqoba Mngqithi.

Sundowns are at the top of the table, and no team appears to be capable of unseating them. “Let me congratulate Sundowns on their victory over a team that really wanted to beat us today.

“The whole team did a fantastic job, but the way we played was disappointing,” Mokwena said. After amassing forty points, Sundowns will face SuperSport United in the Pretoria derby early on Monday.
