France’s most feared footballer, Kylian Mbappe, said the only thing on his mind is winning the World Cup. Mbappe, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, made the remarks ahead of Saturday night’s FIFA World Cup match between France and England at Al Bayt Stadium.

The fact that France is the defending champion is one of the reasons why the match between the two countries has piqued the interest of football fans.

On the other hand, England, coached by Gareth Southgate, is under pressure because they have high-quality players who are expected to deliver the World Cup to the English people.

Mbappe scored a brace and Olivier Giroud added a third in France’s previous 3-1 victory over Poland at Al Thumama Stadium. Mbappe now has five goals to his name, but he has stated that winning personal honours is not on his mind.

“My ambition is to win the World Cup. The most important thing is that the next game is won. That is my dream. I’d like to lift the trophy,” said Mbappe, who was chastised by FIFA for not speaking to the media after the last game.

“I’ll be very happy if I win the World Cup because that’s why I came here. I came to help my country, not to collect my personal awards,” Mbappe stated.

France must prepare because England has talented players such as Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, and Bukayo Saka.

France’s coach, Didier Deschamps, praised Mbappe for assisting Giroud, who has 52 goals for the national team. Giroud broke Thierry Henry’s record as the French national team’s leading scorer.

Deschamps and Henry were instrumental in France winning the World Cup for the first time in 1998, when they defeated Brazil 3-0.

“There is no strategy in place to stop Mbappe. He is a high-calibre player who will continue to shine for many years,” Deschamps stated.
