No bail has been granted to the man who shot and killed Danile Mxoli who was a Traffic Officer last week in the centre of Mthatha town.
The man whose name is Siphesonke Galoshe (34) and a teacher at Ndamase Senior Secondary School appeared on Tuesday this week at the Mthatha Magistrate Court regarding the charges against him for the murder of Mxoli (62).
The police report reveals that Mxoli was on duty when he stopped Galoshe’s car. The accused’s car, which is a Tazz model is said to have been interfering with traffic regulations.
Mxoli and Galoshe got into an argument, after which Galoshe went straight to his Tazz and pulled out a gun and shot the victim twice in the back, then disappeared into thin air.
Galoshe was arrested by the Hawks on Monday this week after he turned himself in.
According to a report from the spokesperson of the Hawks in the Eastern Cape, Yolisa Mgolodela, the accused went to hide in his sister’s home in Gqeberha after last week’s incident. His sister encouraged him to turn himself to the police and he did exactly that.
Galoshe will appear in court again on Monday, October 24 where he will apply for bail.
