Two die, tavern owner arrested

When the King William’s Town police went to investigate one of the taverns in Sweetwaters in Zwelitsha, regarding the shooting of two men by unknown persons, things took a different turn when the tavern owner got arrested. The arrest happened after ten packets of crystal meth and four boxes of mandrax were found in his possession.

This tavern owner who is a man aged 43 years old, is facing charges of drug possession. He appeared in the King William’s Town Magistrate Court on Wednesday, August 24.

The two men were found outside his place with multiple gunshot wounds and lying cold. The cause of the incident is still unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
