Zitha Kwinika: We cannot drop points at home

Kaizer Chiefs face a very tough game this week and if they do not win, things can only get worse. Amakhosi host the dangerous SuperSport United in the DStv Premiership match which will be held at FNB Stadium at 8pm on Saturday.

Spirits are low in the Chiefs camp after they failed to win consecutive games. Last week, they faced Marumo Gallants where they shared spoils in a match at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium. Meanwhile, SuperSport won their third game last week and climbed up the DStv Premiership table.

Things are not going well for the Naturena team, especially Arthur Zwane who has been given the responsibility of restoring their dignity after the dismissal of Stuart Baxter last season. It does not seem like there is any hope for things to change after the seven games played by the Chiefs. The game style played by Chiefs is not clear, they make mistakes and cannot score goals.

Zwane criticised Ashley Du Preez and Zitha Kwinika after the last game. However, Kwinika is looking forward to the next game and says that Chiefs should not be beaten when they play at home. “We cannot miss another 3 points,” said Kwinika.

Amakhosi face Matsatsantsa coached by Gavin Hunt who will not accept being beaten by Chiefs who sacked him last year. “SuperSport are playing very well but it is time to be strong and make sure our team gets good results. No team should beat us when we play at home. We talked about it, and we cannot throw away any more points,” said Kwinika who scored a goal in the previous match.

Although SuperSport’s league start was not good, they are now flourishing. Last week they beat Maritzburg United 2-1 at Harry Gwala Stadium.
