The benefits of cow dung in farms

Most farmers, including households, have cow dung, but there is little knowledge about the benefits of cow dung.

Cow dung produces compost, which nourishes the soil because it contains the majority of the nutrients that the soil requires. Cow dung contributes to the production of gas, which generates electricity in some parts of the world, and the process of producing electricity from cow dung is currently underway.

Cow dung, on the other hand, plays an important role in religious and traditional affairs. Cow dung was used to keep old houses clean and smelling good.

The ancient people used dung to clean their houses because of the many things found in dung. The cow eats grass and other wild plants, and it is believed that some of the plants the cow eats in the wild contain medicines unknown to those who practice traditional medicine.

A mixture of grass and drugs consumed by cattle is used to create a medicine that cures a variety of ailments in the human body. Those who live in a house with dung are protected from diseases that enter the house unnoticed.

Inorganic illnesses and mental stress are alleviated when people enter a house that has been smeared with dung. Dennis Mutai conducted extensive research on the benefits of using dung at home in order to educate many people.

“I used to ask my mother why she built the house with cow dung instead of cement,” Mutai said.

He stated that he became very interested after learning that cow dung contains ingredients that are said to be medicine for the body of anyone who steps on the area where it was used.

“Grass and other plants that the cow eats are cooked inside the cow’s stomach by the heat, which creates a combination of drugs,” Mutai explained. He stated that after receiving this information, he began giving himself the opportunity to sleep bare in a dung-smeared house.

“I can’t explain the change in my body when I was lying in a dung-covered house,” Mutai said. He praised ancient science, which was easily suppressed.

“Our ancestors were scientists who did not rely on Western knowledge, but they had knowledge from Qamata traditionally, particularly in medicine because they diagnosed everything using air or radio,” Mutai explained.

Cow dung is dried to make cow chips, in addition to enriching the soil and smearing. These cow chips are sometimes used to make compost, which is then spread in the garden or cultivated area.

However, its primary function is to provide heat during the winter, as wood is readily available. There is evidence that cow dung can be used to treat skin diseases such as Eczema.

However, research is being conducted to determine whether dung actually causes hair to grow on its own for those who require hair growth strategies. Because of the influence of Western civilisation, most rural farmers no longer want anything to do with cow dung. These farmers resort to using fertilizers, which end up harming their crops.
