Basemngciphekweni ngenxa yenkululeko ngokwesini

Ukuguquka ngokwesini (transgender) kuxa ubani eziva engakhululekanga ngokwesini sakhe sokuzalwa, ze aguqukele kwesi angazalwanga esiso.

Ingxelo ithi abantu abaguquke ngokwesini bakumngcipheko omandla weemeko zokuphazamiseka kwengqondo ezifana nomvandedwa okanye ukusebenzisa gwenxa iziyobisi, apho isiqingatha sabantu abadala abaguquke ngokwesini baye babeneengcinga zokuzibulala ze abanye babo (1/3) bazame ukuzibulala.

“Kubalulekile ukwazi ukuba ukuzichaza njengoguquke ngokwesini, ayikokugula ngengqondo,” kutsho uNjingalwazi Gerhard Grobler, ugqirha wengqondo obesakuba nguMongameli weSouth African Society of Psychiatrists (SASOP).

“Ulutsha oluzichaza njengoluguquke ngokwesini lungagagana nomvandedwa, ukonyuka komngcipheko wokuzonzakalisa ngenxa yokubekwa ibala, ukungamkeleki, ingcinga yokuba bafihla eyona nyaniso ngendlela abayiyo, ukuzijongela phantsi, ukuzikhetha bucala, ukungcikivwa nokuxhatshazwa,” utshilo uGrobler.

UGrobler uthi ukuguquka ngokwesini “asiyonto entsha” kuba kudala abantu bakwenza oko kwiintlanga zonke ehlabathini kuquka naseAfrika.

Lo Njingalwazi ukugxininisile ukuba ukuzichaza ngesini esithile kwanendlela ozikhethela ngayo indlela yokwabelana ngesondo, zizinto ezahlukeneyo.

“Ukuzichaza ngokwesini yindlela ubani asiva ngayo ngaphakathi isini sakhe, sokuba uyindoda okanye umfazi okanye ongenanto yakwenza nezozini zibini (indoda nomfazi). Ukuzikhethela indlela yokwabelana ngokwesondo kuchaza indlela ubani atsaleka ngayo ngokomzimba, uthando kwanomphefumlo, kwaye oko akuphehlwa ngasini somnye umntu. Abantu abaguquke ngokwesini (transgender), ingangabantu abasitreyithi, abaziigeyi, abanomdla kwizini ezahlukeneyo (bisexual) okanye abantu abangenamdla kwezesondo (asexual),” utshilo uGrobler.

UGrobler ugqabaze izinto ezibalulekileyo kubazali, iintsapho kwanabahlobo bolutsha oluguquke ngokwesini.

La magqabaza aquka: ukwazi inguquko ngokwesini yomntu nendlela azikhethela ukuphila ngayo ngokwesini; thetha nesikolo okanye iziko ngemeko neemfuno zomntwana wakho, kodwa imvume iphume emntwaneni; hlonipha ubomi babucala bomntwana wakho; sukunyanzelisa umntwana ukuba enze izinto ngendlela ethile okanye anxibe ngendlela ethile; funa inkxaso kwingcaphephe ejongene nezengqondo ingakumbi lowo ujongene ncakasana nabantwana kuquka nabo bafikisayo; sukumcingela umntwana wakho malunga nemidla yakhe kwezesondo; zifundise malunga nemiba kwanamalungelo wabo baguquke ngokwesini (transgender).

Ethetha eBotshabelo eFreyistata ngoLwesibini, uSuku lweNkululeko, uMongameli Cyril Ramaphosa uthe: “Njengelizwe kufuneka sikuheshe ukungcikivwa nokungamkelwa koluntu lweLGBTQI+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex +). Kwezi nyanga zidlulileyo, kubekho izehlo zolwaphulomthetho ezibini ngakumalungu olu luntu, kuquka nokubulawa. Le yinto ekufanele ukuba siziva sinentloni ngayo sisisizwe.”

“Ndifuna ukuthumela umyalezo ongqongqo wokuba ulwaphulomthetho olujoliswe kwintiyo alusokuze lunyanyezelwe kuluntu lwethu kwaye abo benza olu lwaphulomthetho baza kufunyanwa futhi bajongane nengalo yomthetho,” utshilo uRamaphosa.
