Sivenathi Nontshinga to meet Suganob in the ring!

This is a critical week for Eastern Cape boxers because they will have the opportunity to rewrite history. On Sunday, July 2, in the afternoon, Sivenathi Nontshinga will defend his title against Regie Suganob of the Philippines in one of the matches that East London supporters are looking forward to.

Since Nontshinga is defending the title in front of his supporters, the pressure is on him in this crucial bout. Nontshinga defeated Hector Flores on points to win the IBF World Light Flyweight title in Mexico.

Colin Nathan described this week in South African boxing as a very big week. “This is a week that will not be forgotten because the true champion will be fighting. Boxer Suganob possesses good boxing abilities, but Nontshinga is superior to him. The Rumble Africa Promotions tournament has some great fights, which is good,” said Nathan, Nontshinga’s trainer who is getting him ready for the biggest fight of his boxing career. Nathan said Nontshinga will defend his title on Sunday.

Nontshinga appeared confident and at ease while speaking with reporters a few days prior to his fight. “I am ready to take the stage. I’ve been training for this fight nonstop for three months,” Nontshinga exclaimed.

His trainer has prepared him by having him fight with other boxers of various styles, so that on fight day, he will be able to handle any situation. “The coach and I put in a lot of work. I can’t wait because of this. What I can say for sure is that I will defend my title on Sunday,” Nontshinga concluded.

The fight between Nontshinga and Suganob will also be broadcast live on SuperSport TV.
