Springboks must beat Argentina on Saturday

It is a must win for Springboks if they want to increase their chances of winning the Castle Lager Rugby Championship. This is clear when the Springboks coach, Jacques Nienaber, spoke about the expectations for the weekend game. The boys are preparing to meet Argentina in a match that will be played at the Jose Amalfitani Stadium in Buenos Aries on Saturday.

Although there was some commotion regarding Elton Jantjies who was dismissed from the camp, the remaining players fully understand the importance of winning the game on Saturday. They go to hard-to-beat Argentina motivated after beating Australia in the previous game. Nienaber announced the starting line-up for the upcoming game with the same team that won the previous game.

There are only two games left in the Rugby Championship for the Springboks, which is why it is imperative that they come back with positive results. “We consider the two games we will play against Argentina as the semi-finals and finals,” said Nienaber.

New players to start on Saturday are Elrigh Louw, Faf de Klerk and Andre Esterhuizen. “If we want to win this tournament, we must take the games we face as a must win. Sports come with pressure but not the same as when we play a world cup. We want to see how our players will handle it,” said the coach.

In previous matches, the Springboks won but Michael Cheika and his players are out for vengeance this time after beating New Zealand and Australia this year. “Argentina will come to us wounded. We go to it knowing that it will go all out when it meets us. It is motivated after beating some of the biggest rugby nations in the world. The game will be difficult because they will want to win in front of their fans. We want to give new players a chance to play so they can gain experience as we approach the world cup,” said Nienaber.
